Chocolate cake

Andy Reid compares winning the Super Bowl to chocolate cake

The Kansas City Chiefs look more formidable than ever after crushing the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Wild Card Round. With another Super Bowl win in sight, the Chiefs are just beginning their run to the playoffs. While discussing the desire to add another Lombardi trophy to his collection, Reid dropped a hilarious analogy, comparing a Super Bowl win to a delicious piece of chocolate cake, via Gregorian Vahe.

“If you like chocolate cake and you eat a piece of it and then you have one hanging in front of your face, you probably want to eat that too. Not much is going to stop you,” Reid said.

Well, that’s pretty much the most Andy Reid answer the Chiefs boss has ever given. Having recently dropped a steak-themed analogy, it looks like Reid is getting ready for dessert with his latest food-based response. After winning Super Bowl LIV in 2020 against the San Francisco 49ers, the Chiefs are eager to taste that success again, or as Reid compares it to chocolate cake. Chocolate cake isn’t something you’re satisfied with after just one bite and the Chiefs are back for all the cake this time around after failing in 2021 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Based on how the offense looked in their playoff opener against the Steelers, it will be extremely difficult for any opposition to get them off the scoreboard, so maybe Reid can get that second. coveted portion of chocolate cake after all.

Fred Warner, 49ers
